The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection of Fertilizers Used in Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the licenses and registration documents for products within the scope of the Regulation on Chemical Fertilizers Used in Agriculture will be valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.
The fertilizer distribution license will also be valid for 5 years from the date of issuance, and if an application is made for renewal up to 1 month before or within 1 month after the end of the period, it will be renewed. In case of non-renewal, the document will be canceled.
With the temporary article added to the regulation, the validity period of existing fertilizer distribution licenses has been determined as 5 years from the date of publication of this regulation.
Natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, and similar events, legal strikes, general epidemic diseases, wars, partial or general mobilization declarations, or changes in application locations due to force majeure reasons will be authorized by the General Directorate.
Use of Plastic Security Seal With the regulation, principles regarding the sampling of fertilizers for inspection purposes have also been regulated.
Accordingly, samples will be placed in plastic bags with ruler marks, and a plastic security seal will be used in a way that it will not come off or move. The use of this seal will be mandatory. After the top of the plastic bag is pierced, the extension of the seal will be passed through these holes to ensure maximum security.
