Turkish Airlines (THY) is expected to set a new record with the number of passengers and flights scheduled today.
THY General Manager Bilal Eksi made the following statement on his social media account:
“Today, for the first time in THY’s history, we exceed the threshold of 300 thousand in the number of daily passengers. We will host more than 309 thousand passengers on the 1765 flight we have planned. On the return of the holiday, when we put all our capacity into service, the occupancy rate in domestic flights exceeded 95%. Have a good and pleasant journey.”
Before the Eid al-Adha, THY broke the daily flight and passenger record by carrying 285,877 passengers on 1664 flights on 23 June.
