Salam Air Expands Global Reach with Three New Stations, Including Turkiye, in June and July

Salam Air will open three new stations in June and July. It includes the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan, the city of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and the Turkish city of Risa.
Captain Mohammed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said that the city of Almaty is considered one of the large cities in Kazakhstan with tourism potential and the company seeks to have a direct line throughout the year and not seasonal.


He added that the company is currently studying the economic feasibility of 20 tourist destinations in Europe and Eastern Europe with the aim of attracting tourists to the Sultanate of Oman and stimulating tourism to Muscat and Salalah airports.


The seasonal destinations that will resume this summer are the Muscat-Sarajevo, Muscat-Baku, Muscat-Bursa, Suhar-Trabzon and the Muscat-Beirut line.
The Muscat-Trabzon route is now operated throughout the year due to the good turnout.

SalamAir is currently operating its flights to 38 local and international stations,including Sohar, Salalah, Duqm, and Masirah, the GCC, Arab, Asian, and European countries.
The company will receive three new Airbus A321 aircraft during the next two months and three other aircraft by the end of this year, taking the fleet to 17

Since its inception, SalamAir has transported more than 7.5 million passengers, which is an achievement for the company that has completed only 6 years.


The CEO said SalamAir’s indirect impact on the Omani economy was R0840 million during the year 2022, and the company is looking forward to more investments, noting that the percentage of Omanisation in the company has reached 65 percent.
