While the industrial production index decreased by 0.3% on a monthly basis in March, it increased by 4.3% on an annual basis.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the industrial production index results for March.
Accordingly, when the sub-sectors of industry are examined, in March, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 7.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 4.0%, and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 5.1%.
When the sub-sectors of industry are examined, in March 2024, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, the manufacturing industry sector index decreased by 0.3%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 1.5%.
