Service Producer Price Index increased by 1.7% monthly and 78.46% annually in September

Service Producer Price Index (S-PPI) increased by 1.7% on a monthly basis and 78.46% on an annual basis in September.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the S-PPI results for September.

Accordingly, S-PPI increased by 1.7% in September compared to the previous month, 72% compared to December last year, 78.46% compared to the same month last year and 78.63% compared to 12-month averages.

The index increased by 62.65% in transportation and storage services and 97.96% in accommodation and food services compared to the same month last year, 85.32% in information and communication services, 71.1% in real estate services, 97.48% in professional, scientific and technical services, and 99.22% in administrative and support services.

Compared to the previous month, S-PPI increased by 2.25% in transportation and storage services, 5.41% in information and communication services, and 6.29% in professional, scientific and technical services, S-PPI decreased by 0.95% in accommodation and food services, by 0.37% in real estate services, and by 1.72% in administrative and support services.

According to the annual S-PPI, 7 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 20 sub-sectors showed higher changes. Among the S-PPI sectors, water transportation services, air transportation services, 37.94%, storage and support services (for transportation) were the sub-sectors with the least increase in the indexes with 50.82%.

Motion picture, video and television program production services, sound recording and music publishing were recorded as the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most, with 143.85%, and building and landscaping services with 129.99%, office management, office support and other business support services with 107.79%.

According to the monthly S-PPI, 15 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 12 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

While accommodation services were the sub-sectors with the highest decrease in the indexes with 9.36%, travel agency, tour operator, other reservation services and related services with 7.39%, air transportation services with 5.48%. Programming and publishing services with 60.79%, motion picture, video and television program production services, sound recording and music publishing with 32.72%, advertising and market research services with 16.09% were calculated as the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.
