Toon Metal Games, which develops Casual and Hybrid Casual games, received investment from Bogazici Ventures

Preparing to close the last quarter of 2023 with a diversified investment portfolio, Bogazici Ventures invested in Toon Metal Games, a game development company that draws attention with its creative approach that has made a name for itself in the gaming industry.

With its BV Growth fund, Bogazici Ventures continues to make technology-focused investments by focusing on talented teams with growth potential and proven business models in international markets. It not only provides financial support, but also supports startups in their international growth processes with the mentoring and business networking opportunities it offers.

Bogazici Ventures completed a new game investment before the end of 2023 and included Toon Metal Games, which develops games in the Casual and Hybrid Casual game genres, among the BV Growth Fund portfolio companies. Toon Metal Games, a new addition to Bogazici Ventures’ investment portfolio, received an investment of $250 thousand based on a valuation of $2.5 million.

Toon Metal Games attracts attention as a game development studio that was founded on September 23, 2021 and stands out in the Casual and Hybrid Casual game genres. Toon Metal Games’ founding partners Gokve Kaya (Head of Studio – Product/Game Design), Onder Yuceur (Head of Tech) and Deniz Ensari (Head of Art & Design) have more than 8 years of experience in the game industry.

This team, which established its own startups by taking part in Sanalika’s development team, played important roles in many different initiatives. In the past, they successfully published Turkiye’s first VR RPG game, Dede Korkut, on Oculus Store and developed a series of VR games and mobile games. “Crazy Okey”, an entertaining board game combining okey and Uno card game mechanics, achieved great success and was selected as the game of the day by Apple three times and rose to the top 5 in the Board and Card categories on the iOS platform. Toon Metal, which published the company’s first game, “Hamster Escapes” (Arcade Idle), a year ago, introduced its game called “TinyDoku”, in which it develops Tiny House type houses with item stacking mechanics and plays sudoku. The studio, which continues its success in the Arcade Idle genre with “Stadium Master”, which they developed specifically for the World Cup, is currently in the soft launch process of its game called “Beauty Salon”, in which it runs a beauty salon.

Toon Metal Games Founding Partner Gokce Kaya said about the investment;
