Turkiye: Exports were made to 201 countries, autonomous and free zones from the Black Sea in 11 months

Exports were made from 17 provinces in the Black Sea region to 201 countries, autonomous and free zones in the January-November period of the year.

Saffet Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association, told the AA correspondent that $5 billion 786 million 780 thousand of exports were made from the Black Sea in 11 months of the year.

Kalyoncu stated that the countries with the most exports were the United Arab Emirates with $695 million 473 thousand, Germany with $481 million 961 thousand and the Russian Federation with $445 million 458 thousand.

Pointing out that the diversity of export countries has increased, Kalyoncu noted that unlike the same period last year, exports were made to Malawi, Nicaragua, Central African Republic, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Dominica, Guam, Liechtenstein, Aruba and Armenia in this period.

Kalyoncu pointed out that 27 sectors exported from the Black Sea in the 11-month period, and stated that hazelnuts and their products, jewelry and steel were the top three sectors.

Stating that $966 million 327 thousand 808 of income was obtained from hazelnut and hazelnut products exports, Kalyoncu emphasized that $925 million 541 thousand 831 of income was obtained from jewelry exports and $651 million 955 thousand 912 of income was obtained from steel exports.

Kalyoncu added that they will work to increase both export figures and country diversity in the coming days.
