Vodafone Turkiye announced its first quarter results for the 2023-2024 fiscal year

Vodafone Turkiye announced its first quarter (April-June 2023) results for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

According to the statement made by the company, the company’s service revenues amounted to ₺9.2 billion in this period.

Vodafone Turkiye’s mobile subscribers reached 25.2 million and the total number of mobile subscribers, including M2M (machine-to-machine communication), reached 28.9 million. The company increased the number of postpaid subscribers to 18.8 million.

Vodafone Turkiye’s fixed broadband subscribers reached 1.4 million.

Number of digital customers reached 17 million

Vodafone continues its activities with a focus on digitalization in all channels, and the number of monthly active customers using digital channels such as Vodafone Yanimda and Online Self Service has reached 17 million. The monthly total interaction of customers using Vodafone’s digital channels exceeded 438 million.

In the first quarter of the fiscal year, Vodafone Turkiye customers’ total mobile data usage increased by 25.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,151 petabytes.

Vodafone Turkiye also made significant progress towards becoming a digital service company during this period. The total sales, including Market Yanimda sales, in the online shopping platform, Everything is on My Side, implemented by the company through Vodafone Yanimda mobile application, exceeded 5.4 million, while the number of visits to the platform approached 188 million.

The total number of users using the products of Vodafone’s new generation mobile finance solution, Vodafone Pay, has reached 4.7 million. The number of monthly unique users of TOBi, the company’s personal digital assistant that can perform nearly 1,000 different transactions, increased to 9.4 million and the number of monthly chats to 37 million.

Vodafone Turkiye Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engin Aksoy, whose views are included in the statement, stated that service revenues were realized as ₺9.2 billion in the first quarter of the fiscal year, and said:

“Current macroeconomic conditions make it inevitable to implement practices that will increase efficiency both in our sector and in the field of production. New technology and frequency allocation will not only help us take the services we offer over our network to the next level, but will also play a role in triggering a growth effect across the economy. In this respect, it is essential to provide operators with a sustainable and predictable investment environment. As Vodafone, we will continue to work hard with our stakeholders to bring our country to the place it deserves in the digitalization league.’
