Turkish construction firm Dorce keeps its place among top contractors

Dorce is recognized as pioneer of modern construction methods in Türkiye and world, says firm

Turkish prefabricated construction company Dorce Prefabrik maintained its place in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2023 list of the Top 250 International Contractors.

ENR, a leading construction industry publication, evaluates construction projects and contracting companies worldwide every year and presents a prestigious, reliable guide to the sector based on the international turnover of contractors, Dorce said on Wednesday.

Ranking the industry’s most influential actors worldwide, ENR’s 2023 Top 250 International Contractors List is considered a reflection of companies’ success and reputation.

One of the world brands in volumetric modular structures where construction evolves with technology, Dorce Prefabrik kept its place on the list by taking on many important projects in Türkiye and abroad with its modern construction methods (MMC) and offsite contracting.

Dorce is recognized as the pioneer of MMC technology in Türkiye and in the world, and contributes greatly to its widespread use in the country, it said.

Dorce completes prefabricated volumetric modular structures to meet all kinds of needs in different geographical regions, in harsh climatic conditions, on a turnkey basis (EPC – engineering procurement and construction), including engineering, procurement, production, logistics, assembly, infrastructure and superstructure works, testing and commissioning.

As one of the pioneers of transformation in the sector, the company has completed projects in more than 60 countries with more than 40 years of experience.

Dorce is also seen as one of the largest sustainable, environmentally friendly and high-tech manufacturers in Europe with its prefabricated steel structure production facility.

As an alternative to traditional construction methods, Dorce has the requirements of the era with MMC, design for fabrication and assembly (DFMA) and design for industrialized construction methods (DIMC).

Using building information modeling (BIM), the company manages the entire lifecycle of a project in-house, including design, construction, and operation services.

One of the factors behind Dorce’s success in the international arena is its expert and experienced staff in engineering.

In addition, considering Türkiye’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2053 and the world’s growing sensitivity on this issue, Dorce was the first company to obtain the Carbon Footprint Declaration Certificate (ISO 14064) for its prefabricated volumetric modular and steel structure production facility.

With the certificate, Dorce aims to calculate greenhouse gas emissions, use renewable energy sources, and reduce the environmental impact of construction with its sustainability policy.
