The First National Electric Train Set will meet with citizens in Istanbul today

The National Electric Train Set, produced locally and nationally by the TURASAS General Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, will be opened to the visit of citizens at Marmaray Bakirkoy Station today.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the National Electric Train Set, which was delivered to the General Directorate of TCDD Transport with the ceremony attended by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu on April 27, can be visited by citizens for a week starting from 11.00 today.

The “New Sakarya National Electric Train Set”, in which local and national facilities are used from design to production, has an operating speed of 160 kilometers.

It has a capacity of 324 passengers.

It can be produced with 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicles to be used in regional or intercity trains according to the operational needs, and it has a capacity of 324 passengers in its 5-vehicle configuration.

The sets, which have the TSI certificate, which is necessary for them to work in Turkiye and European Union countries, are produced by taking passenger comfort into the forefront, while there are Wi-Fi access, cafeteria section, 2 compartments for disabled passengers, disabled boarding system and baby care room.
