Eroglu Holding’s factory in Aksaray produces for the world’s leading brands. 65% of the products produced in the factory are exported.
Eroglu Holding’s factory in Aksaray, which started operating in 2004 and turned into a giant production base established on an area of 28 thousand square meters in 17 years, produces for the world’s leading brands. Emphasizing that 11.5 ml/unit of products produced in the factory in Aksaray were sold in 2020, and a large proportion of 65% of this was exported, Eroglu Holding Chairman of the Board Nurettin Eroglu said: “Our factory in Aksaray is an extremely valuable investment for us. It is a gift to the city we were born and grew up in. This is the point we have come to from the small garment workshop we opened in Istanbul, Mahmutpasa, in 1983 with 6 machines. Today, our holding, which is one of the biggest productive forces in Turkey with more than 15 thousand employees and a turnover of around $1 billion, employs 1,600 people in its factory in Aksaray. When you include their families and the environment, it touches a very large group. We contribute to both regional development and the national economy.”
CAPACITY INCREASED
Stating that they have achieved significant growth in the production capacity of the factory in Aksaray with the investments made in the last 2 years, Eroglu said, “We increased the sewing line to 9 bands, doubled the number of automatic cutting machines, installed chemical automatic dosing and automation systems. We increased our capacity in the production of denim pants to 7 million units per year.”
EXPORT TO 38 COUNTRIES
Pointing out that the factory in Aksaray is generally known as Colin’s factory among the public, Eroglu said, “We are, of course, proud of Colin’s, which we have extracted from these lands with great effort. Today, Colin’s has turned into a global brand that keeps its doors open 24 hours a day with more than 600 stores in 38 countries of the world. It offers products and services to over 120 million customers all over the world.” Explaining that they do not produce only for Colin’s in Aksaray, Eroglu said, “We work with all the world brands you can think of. We also produce not only denim, but also non-denim. For this reason, we continue uninterrupted investments that will increase the capacity of our factory. Our goal is always to provide more investment, more employment, more growth on a global scale and more contribution to our country.”
PRODUCTION IN AKSARAY OIZ FOR WORLD GIANTS
Operating in an area of 60 thousand square meters, of which 30 thousand are closed, in the Aksaray Organized Industrial Zone since 2013, the factory within the body of Eroglu Holding provides employment for approximately 2 thousand people. The fabrics that come to the factory are transformed into jeans of world-renowned brands. Erdal Duran, Aksaray Factory Manager of Eroglu Giyim Inc., who gave information to the SABAH team about the facility, stated that the facility, equipped with the latest technology, produces for the world’s most famous brands. Explaining that they are one of the world’s leading apparel exporters as a facility, Duran said, “One of the 3 factories producing within the Holding is in Aksaray. Our factory, whose investment foundations were laid in 2004, went into operation in 2013 with 2 thousand employees producing 30 thousand trousers per day. While we serve all world brands here, we also produce our own two brands. 50% of our employees are women.” Duran said the following about the production process: “After the order of our products is received, our fabrics go to the warehouse. After the colorwork, they are ready for shipment after cutting, sewing, washing, quality control and packaging processes. The production of this factory alone is 7.5 million jeans per year. In this sense, we make a great contribution to the Turkish economy. We export to many countries in the world, especially to European countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Spain, England. Our 3 factories within the holding have an annual export of $200 million. Our staff, who produce world brands, are proud of this.”
