The Housing Price Index (HPI) reached 1216 in February 2024, with a monthly increase of 2.2% and an annual increase of 58.3%.
Housing Price Index data for the period of February 2024 was announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye.
HPI, which is calculated to monitor the quality-adjusted price changes of houses in Turkiye, increased by 2.2% in February compared to the previous month and reached 1216.
While HPI increased by 58.3% on an annual basis in February, the decrease in real terms during this period was 5.1%.
Looking at the HPI change for the three major provinces, an increase of 1.5%, 2.0% and 1.6% was observed in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, in February compared to the previous month.
Index values increased by 45.6% in Istanbul, 72.9% in Ankara and 57.4% in Izmir compared to the same month last year.
