HAVELSAN aims to add the ADVENT Combat Management System to exports to Malaysia

Having achieved export success in Malaysia with its armored land vehicle and parachute simulators, HAVELSAN aims to add the ADVENT Combat Management System to these.

Having signed 3 important agreements at the 16th International Maritime and Aviation Fair LIMA 2023 held in Langkawi Island of Malaysia, HAVELSAN closely follows many projects in the military and civil fields in this country.

HAVELSAN Chairman of the Board, Haci Ali Mantar, in his statement to AA correspondent, emphasized that they established an official office as HAVELSAN in Malaysia in 2020 and that they have become one of the most reliable solution partners for Malaysia in recent years.

Reminding that they signed contracts for the needs of the Malaysian Land and Air Forces in previous years, Mantar said, “As the first company that produces an armored land vehicle simulator in Turkiye, we exported the AV 8×8 Armored Land Vehicle Simulator to Malaysia. HAVELSAN’s experience is also used in pilot flight training for the Malaysian Air Force. Our parachute simulators will also be used by different institutions in the near future.”

Stating that they have established very good relations based on trust with the Malaysian State and public institutions, Mantar said:

“At LIMA 2023 Fair, we hosted Malaysian Prime Minister Enver Ibrahim at our stand and had the opportunity to tell them about our ongoing projects in Malaysia and in which areas we can make new contributions with our current competencies. Our Ambassador Mr. Emir Salim Yuksel and our Presidency Defense Industry Vice President Serdar Demirel did not leave us alone during the fair. The fact that the products and solutions we have developed especially for the Turkish Armed Forces are effectively used by our army becomes a factor that increases our export potential.”

Stating that they aim to provide the ADVENT Combat Management System to the ship platforms that the Malaysian Navy plans to supply and the ship modernization projects planned to be realized in the near future, Mantar said, “We have informed both Prime Minister Enver Ibrahim and the Malaysian Defense Minister about this issue. In addition to the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Malaysian Minister of Defense, we also hosted the Malaysian Minister of Interior at the LIMA Fair. We also informed them about homeland security, where HAVELSAN’s successful solutions are used in our country. At a ceremony attended by the Honorable Prime Minister, we signed a cooperation agreement with a local company regarding our homeland security solutions.”

Stating that they signed a MoU with G7 Aerospace Sdn Bhd in order to provide solutions for the needs of the Malaysian Air Force at the LIMA 2023 Fair, HAVELSAN Chairman of the Board Hacı Ali Mantar said: “The cooperation agreement we signed with the Malaysian National Defense University in the field of command and control technologies, simulation systems and cyber security with the participation of the Malaysian Minister of Defense, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education and all force commanders is one of the most important indicators of the trust placed in HAVELSAN and in Turkiye.”
