Ahmet Gulec, Chairman of the ISTANBUL Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association, stated that they increased their furniture exports by more than 48% in May, and said that this increase made the representatives of the sector happy. Gulec, who is also the Chairman of the Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED), said, “We increased our furniture exports by more than 48% in May. When we look at the 5-month export figures, we have already exceeded $1.6 billion in furniture. In 2019, we achieved the title of the country that increased its exports the most in the world furniture industry. With this figure, we became the 8th in the world. Our goal is to be among the top 5 exporting countries in the world. We are getting closer to our goals step by step.”
