The agricultural input price index increased by 7.92% in June

The agricultural input price index (Agriculture-GFE) increased by 134.96% on an annual basis and by 7.92% on a monthly basis in June.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agri-GFE data for the month of June.

Accordingly, the index increased by 7.92% in June compared to the previous month, by 134.96% compared to the same month of the previous year, by 81.07% compared to December of the previous year and by 70.89% compared to the 12-month averages.

In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 4.57% in the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment, and an increase of 8.33% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture. Compared to the same month of the previous year, an increase of 72.3% in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment and 145.32% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture was recorded.

7 SUB-GROUPS HAVE CHANGED LOWER AND 4 SUB-GROUPS HIGHER COMPARED TO ANNUAL AGRICULTURE-GFE

The subgroups with low annual increase were veterinary expenditures with 31.88%, seeds and planting materials with 46.04%. The subgroups with the highest annual increase were fertilizer and soil improvers with 233.89%, energy and oils with 228.03%.

LOWER CHANGE IN 10 SUB-GROUPS AND HIGHER CHANGE IN 1 SUB-GROUP COMPARED TO THE MONTHLY AGRICULTURE-GFE

The subgroups with low monthly increase were veterinary expenditures with 0.13%, seeds and planting materials with 0.5%. On the other hand, the sub-groups with the highest monthly increase were energy and fats with 20.71% and animal feed with 7.26%. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the previous month was recorded as machine maintenance costs with 0.27%.
