The delegation from Wizz Air will experience tourism in Antalya and introduce the city to the world

In cooperation with the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and Hungary’s Wizz Air airline, which has a significant air fleet, 170 people coming to Antalya from England are experiencing the gastronomy, nature and cultural tourism destinations in the city.

The delegation came from London the previous evening as part of the Wizz Air airline company’s “Lose Yourself with Wizz Air” campaign participated in the event where different areas such as gastronomy, culture, sports and nature adventure will be promoted in Side, Tazi Canyon, Koprulu Canyon and Kaleici.

With the program, which will end in Side today, the aim is for the participants to highlight their experiences in Antalya on social media and blogs.

“Antalya is a city that can be visited for 12 months”

Wizz Air UK General Manager Marion Geoffroy told the AA correspondent that they organized various campaigns to promote different locations of the world and develop flight destinations.

Explaining that they selected people, including influencers, press members and phenomena, within the scope of a competition and took them to a place they did not know, Geoffroy said, “The participants did not know where to go when they got on the plane in London. When we approached Antalya, they learned that they had come here as they were getting off the plane. It is a fun event.”

Geoffroy underlined that Antalya is an important city in tourism and said that they included Antalya in the campaign accordingly.

Noting that they care about Turkiye and Antalya and that they want to fly more tourists here, Geoffroy said, “Antalya is a location that can be visited for 12 months with its coast, gastronomy, culture, entertainment, in short, everything. We also want to be here more.”

The target is quality tourism

Antalya Culture and Tourism Director Candemir Zoroglu said that the Tourism Promotion and Development Agency is carrying out important promotional activities in order to attract more and more qualified tourists.

Expressing that the project carried out in cooperation with the Wizz Air airline company is also a promotional activity, Zoroglu said, “Wizz Air is an airline that does not have flights to Antalya. It will start flights this year within the scope of the agreement it made with our Ministry. They will also increase the number of flights.”

Zoroglu stated that with the project, they added Antalya to the airline company’s destinations and brought influencers, press members and phenomena with a significant potential around the world to the city, and stated that they prepared a promotional program for them, including gastronomy, nature and culture.

Stating that the participants will experience the beauties of Antalya and share them on social media or media, Zoroglu said, “In addition to package tours in tourism, we aim to bring tourists to Antalya who make their own hotel reservations, enter the city, visit different historical and cultural points, and buy souvenirs.”
