The brands with the highest sales in the Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market in February this year were listed as Fiat, Renault and Citroen.
According to the data of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), car and light commercial vehicle sales last month increased by 30.6% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 105 thousand 990 units.
In February, automobile sales increased by 39.67% to 82 thousand 277, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 6.6% to 23 thousand 713.
Last month, Fiat ranked first in total sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with 13 thousand 560 units. Fiat was followed by Renault with 12 thousand 903 sales and Citroen with 7 thousand 730 sales.
It was noteworthy that Citroen was among the top 3 in the sales rankings.
Ford ranked fourth with 7 thousand 145 sales, and Volkswagen ranked fifth with 6 thousand 730 sales.
Automobile sales
Considering automobile sales, the brand with the highest sales in February was Renault with 11 thousand 468. It was followed by Fiat with 7 thousand 468 sales and Citroen with 5 thousand 664 sales.
While Toyota ranked fourth with 5 thousand 565 automobile sales, Chery ranked fifth with 5 thousand 6 sales.
Luxury car sales
In the ODMD list, which includes a total of 53 brands, it was seen that all brands except Smart and Seres made sales last month.
While Togg’s deliveries were 1201 for February, Tesla’s sales remained at 75.
In the luxury automobile group, 209 DS, 93 Porsche, 33 Lexus, 23 Maserati, 13 Jaguar, 3 Lamborghini, two Aston Martin, Bentley and 1 Ferrari were sold in February.
Top 5 brands in light commercial car sales
Looking at the light commercial vehicle segment, Fiat was at the top of the list with 6 thousand 92 sales last month, followed by Ford with 5 thousand 194 sales and Volkswagen with 2 thousand 542 sales. Citroen was fourth with 2 thousand 66 sales and Peugeot was fifth with 1809 sales.
