Turkiye: Fees for 2024 have been determined in the future electricity and gas markets

Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) has determined the Future Natural Gas Market and Future Electricity Market unit fees that will be valid as of next year.

EMRA’s Board decisions on the subject were published in today’s duplicate issue of the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, in the Future Electricity Market, the unit transaction fee was determined as ₺1.50 per megawatt-hour, the annual participation fee was determined as ₺15 thousand, and the rejected objection fee was determined as ₺200 per unit.

In the Natural Gas Futures Market, the unit transaction fee and annual participation fee did not change.

While the unit transaction fee in the market was ₺0.000450 per standard cubic meter, the annual participation fee was ₺2 thousand 500, the rejected objection fee was determined as ₺500 per piece.

The unit transaction fee that will be valid in 2024 in the Organized Wholesale Natural Gas Sales Market is ₺0.004148 per standard cubic meter, and the unit imbalance settlement operation fee is ₺0.006223 per standard cubic meter. The annual participation fee was ₺82 thousand 967 and the rejected objection fee was ₺500 per piece.

The Board decided that next year the unit fee will be ₺0.30 per megawatt hour and the annual participation fee will be ₺1500 in the Renewable Energy Resource Guarantee System and Market.

These decisions will come into force as of January 1, 2024.

On the other hand, by the decision of the Board, the 2024 market operating income ceiling of Energy Marketing Business Inc. was determined as ₺997 million 243 thousand 456 for the electricity market and ₺41 million 983 thousand 718 for the natural gas market.
