Turkiye: In November, $354.9 million of fresh fruit and vegetables were exported

Ferhat Guruz, President of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, announced that Turkiye exported $354.9 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in November.

Ferhat Guruz stated that as part of their efforts to reach new markets, they introduced Turkish fresh fruits and vegetables at the Asia Fruit Logistica Fair held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on November 2-4.

Evaluating the exports of the sector in November, Guruz said, “Turkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports amounted to $354.9 million in November. Our sector, which evaluated 565 thousand 406 tons of products in international markets in the 11th month of the year, reached the highest export values in tangerines, lemons and grapes. We exported $109.3 million of mandarin, $38 million of lemons and $28.9 million of grapes.”

Guruz shared the information that most of the exports were made to Russia in the said period, and said:

“Russia, Ukraine and Romania took the first three places. We exported $168.3 million to Russia, $23.6 million to Ukraine and $16.5 million to Romania. Qatar, Israel and Austria were the countries where we achieved a significant increase in export volume in the said period. We are strengthening our presence in this market from month to month, in the normalization process created by the positive bilateral relations between Turkiye and Saudi Arabia.”
