Turkiye: Retail trade sales volume increased by 13.3% annually

While trade sales volume decreased by 0.4% on an annual basis in January, retail sales volume increased by 13.3% annually.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the trade sales volume index for January.

Accordingly, trade sales volume decreased by 3.2% in the said month compared to the previous month. During this period, the sales volume for wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased by 0.8%, and the wholesale trade sales volume decreased by 5.9%.

During the said period, retail trade sales volume increased by 2.6%.

Trade sales volume decreased by 0.4% in January compared to the same month last year. In the same period, the sales volume for wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 6%, while the wholesale trade sales volume decreased by 6.3%.

During this period, retail trade sales volume increased by 13.3%.
