
BIST 100 index rallies 2.29% from previous close
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index closed with strong gains on Wednesday to hit another all-time high of 2,980.00 points.
After starting the day at 2,928.71 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 66.7 points, or 2.29%, from Tuesday’s record high of 2,913.30.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,780.15 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Market.
The price of Brent crude oil rose marginally to $92.4 per barrel as of 7 p.m. local time (1900GMT) after a six-month low during the day, thanks to official data revealed that US crude stockpiles had fallen by the most in four months.
