While Romania was the country where Turkiye increased its exports the most in terms of value in April, exports to this country exceeded $676 million.
The results of the steps taken to develop commercial and economic relations between Turkiye and Romania have begun to be seen.
The collaborations between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy and construction, reveal Romania’s place in Turkiye’s exports.
Last month, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, where the relations between the two countries were discussed, and Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz also paid an official visit to the country.
According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters Assembly data, Turkiye’s exports increased by 0.1% in April compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching $19.3 billion.
The country where Turkiye’s exports increased the most in April compared to the same month last year was Romania. Exports to Romania increased by $156.1 million.
In terms of export increase, Romania was followed by the Netherlands with $145.8 million, Burkina Faso with $88.2 million, the USA with $67.9 million and Uzbekistan with $61.6 million.
In April, exports of $676.5 million were made to Romania, $616.1 million to the Netherlands, $92.4 million to Burkina Faso, $1 billion to the USA, and $180.8 million to Uzbekistan.
Romania ranks 8th among the countries Turkiye exported most to
Romania became the 8th country with the most exports in April.
The countries to which Turkiye exported the most in the month in question were Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Iraq and Romania.
In April, exports worth $1.3 billion were made to Germany, $1 billion to the USA, $871.7 million to the United Kingdom, $778.5 million to France, $778 million to Spain, $760 million to Italy, and $709.2 million to Iraq.
The chemical substances and products sector was the sector with the highest exports to Romania with $287.8 million last month. To this country, the automotive industry sold products worth $84.7 million, the steel sector sold products worth $75.4 million, the fresh fruit and vegetable sector sold products worth $36.6 million, and the iron and non-ferrous metals sector sold products worth $33.1 million.
Most exports were made from Istanbul
Istanbul-based companies made the most exports to Romania in April with $375.5 million.
Istanbul was followed by Kocaeli with $88.9 million, Bursa with $57.5 million, Hatay with $22.1 million and Izmir with $17.3 million.
