Title: ASO and TÜBİTAK to Collaborate on Green Transformation for SMEs

Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) President Seyit Ardıç has announced a collaboration between the Turkey Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK) and ASO to provide technical support and consultancy for the green transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

As part of the Turkey Green Industry Project, ASO has become a “solution partner” for TÜBİTAK’s Green Innovation Technology Mentoring Program, according to a statement released by ASO.

Within the scope of this collaboration, ASO will offer consultancy support to SMEs, including an analysis of the adaptation process to green transformation, identification of existing problems, and proposed solution approaches.

TÜBİTAK will cover 90% of the cost of the services provided to SMEs as a grant

ASO President Seyit Ardıç, in a statement, highlighted the role of ASO in determining the roadmaps for the green transformation process of SMEs in Ankara, directing project applications, and serving as a bridge.

Ardıç underscored the profound changes brought about by the carbon regulation mechanism under the European Union Green Deal, emphasizing that while placing environmental protection responsibilities on companies, it also imposes financial obligations. He stated, “For our companies, adopting an approach focused on sustainability and green transformation is critically important for preserving and enhancing our international competitiveness. As ASO, we will stand by our companies with our role as a solution partner to guide them in making the necessary preparations.”

Ardıç further noted that the financial support provided through this collaboration would empower SMEs to handle the financial obligations arising from the significant changes in the carbon regulation mechanism.

Highlighting the importance of services supporting green transformation for the development of the exporting and competitive Turkish industry, Ardıç concluded, “Through the Green Innovation Technology Mentoring Program, we will continue to work together to guide companies. With this support, SMEs will access substantial financial support from TÜBİTAK and the Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB) for green and innovative technologies.”
