Turkiye’s Borsa Istanbul down at close

BIST 100 index decreases by 12 points from previous close

Turkiye’s benchmark stock index was down 0.49% to end Friday at 2,438.84 points.

Starting the day at 2,422.80 points,Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 12 points from the previous close of 2,418.10 points.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 2,434.17 points, while its daily high was 2,470.04 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.98 trillion Turkish liras ($120.96 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 39.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.39 billion).

During the last transaction day of the week, 39 stocks on the index rose, 60 fell, and one was unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,851.37, while Brent crude oil sold at around $114.4 per barrel as of 6.28 p.m. local time (1528GMT).
