Vehicle inspection reports will now be given digitally at vehicle inspection stations operated by TUVTURK.
The “Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Opening and Operation of Vehicle Inspection Stations and Vehicle Inspection” prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure came into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the Ministry digitizes vehicle inspection reports in order to provide environmentally friendly service to vehicle owners in the country. With the amendment made in the regulation, vehicle inspection reports will now be given digitally at vehicle inspection stations operated by TUVTURK. Thanks to this application, it is aimed to minimize the environmental impact by reducing paper consumption.
The reports given at the end of the vehicle inspection process at the stations operated by TUVTURK will be sent to the vehicle owners via text message or e-mail. In addition, vehicle owners will be able to access the summary of this report from the “My Vehicles” tab on the e-Devlet Gateway.
On the other hand, law enforcement authorities authorized to audit the validity of vehicle inspections will be able to conduct more rapid and effective inspections remotely, without the need for physical reports, in vehicle inspection inspections with these digitalized inspection reports.
The practice of sticking vehicle inspection labels on the license plate has ended
With the transition of vehicle inspection reports to the digital system, 112 tons of paper will be saved per year and 1904 trees will be saved from being cut down. In addition, 7 thousand 840 square meters of pine area will be saved from destruction, 459 thousand 200 kilowatt-hours of electricity will be saved, as well as 196 thousand liters of fuel oil, and the release of 30 thousand 240 cubic meters of waste gas into the atmosphere will be prevented.
As of the beginning of 2023, the vehicle inspection labels affixed to the license plates of the vehicles have also been removed. Thus, another application that will reduce paper usage has been signed.
