Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek announced that Turkiye ranked 7th among 38 OECD countries in the 2023 International Tax Index.
Minister Simsek, in his statement on his X social media account, said, “Turkiye ranks 7th among 38 OECD countries in the 2023 International Tax Competitiveness Index. This index measures how well a country’s tax system adheres to two important aspects of tax policy; competitiveness and neutrality.”
According to the information in the list, Estonia comes first, followed by Latvia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Luxembourg, respectively. Israel is 8th, Lithuania 9th and Australia 10th.
Germany is ranked 18th, the USA is 21st and the UK is 30th in the list, with the last three being France, Italy and Colombia.
